Initial Editorial Screening
After the submission of a manuscript, the editorial team reviews the manuscript to determine if it is within the scope of the journal and has the basic manuscript requirements. The manuscript might also be subjected to originality, plagiarism, formatting and general academic standards check.
Reviewer Selection
Manuscripts which survive the initial screening are then forwarded to an appropriate reviewer who has the knowledge and expertise in the content area. The reviewers are appointed according to their academic experience and expertise on the research's topic.
Peer Review
The journal is double blind peer reviewed: The name of author and reviewers are not disclosed during the review. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript with regard to its originality, research method, clarity and scientific contribution, accuracy and quality.
Reviewer Recommendations
Based on the manuscript, reviewers can make any of the following recommendations:
- Accept the manuscript
- Accept with minor revisions
- Revise and resubmit with major revisions
- Reject the manuscript
Authors may be asked to revise their manuscript based on the reviewers' comments. The revised manuscript should address the suggestions and concerns raised during the review process.
Editorial Decision
The editor(s) decide(s) on the final acceptance of the article based on the reviewer's recommendations, the overall quality of the manuscript. When relevant, the decision is conveyed to the corresponding author together with the comments from the reviewers.
Revision and Re-Review
If revision is requested, authors will be provided with revision within the specified time. If there is a significant revision, the revised manuscript can be returned to the reviewers for additional evaluation prior to decision.
Confidentiality and Ethical Review
Manuscripts and reviewers' reports remain confidential throughout the process of review. Reviewers are expected to give objective and constructive criticism and should indicate if they have a potential conflict of interest that might be construed to influence their evaluation.
Publication
Manuscripts that pass the peer review and editorial process are accepted for publication. The final version is written for publication once the appropriate editing and formatting have been done.
